Never mind the Balearics: London and the hippies of Ibiza, Formentera and Deia…

Peter Watts tells the story of how a generation of questing souls found their way to the Balearic Islands. Decades before the ravers reached Ibiza, Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Gong, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor were hunting for peace, creative inspiration and cosmic truths there and Formentera. Another Balearic-influenced 60s psychedelic classic is Cream’s “Tale Of Brave Ulysses”, with lyrics by the great Australian artist Martin Sharp that were inspired by his time in Ibiza and Formentera.
